bluenotes.23 - FOOD!

On Friday, April 23rd, Milo's pediatrician had lots to say about the little guy. Aside from the fact that he was doing things (grabbing, holding, standing, taking steps -- with help) like a one-year-old, instead of his not-yet-five-months, she was blown away by how active he was. Mama and Papa often think hyperactive, but she thought not. Just very active, which means, always hungry, which helped explain why sleeping more than a couple of hours at a time isn't really Milo's style. So, to accommodate his 26 inches of height, and mere 16 lbs, she said, it's time for solids. Papa couldn't get out to buy rice cereal fast enough, so desperate were we for anything that would help on sleep.

Milo, true to form, gobbled every bit the first night, learned to hold the spoon by the second night, and mastered sitting in his new high chair, playing with his bib and kicking (but not screaming) while his dinner's getting prepped, by the third night.

And, this happy, fuller-stomach baby seems even happier than usual, especially when he's all cleaned up and cuddling with his Papa, sporting a brand new hat from his Auntie Kim.

Epilogue. Yum, cereal. Whee, bath. Kick, kick, bubbles, spray. Giggle, wiggle, pj's. Listen to stories, good night moon, good night Milo, good night Mama. But, not for long... Stay tuned for the carrots episode, coming soon to a high chair near you.

Hi All
Now would that be gourmet rice cereal or just plain Gerbers? :)
