In the two months' that have zoomed since Mama last found time to post, Milo has been to Pensacola, FL; Berkeley, San Francisco, Pt. Reyes, Petaluma, Sebastopol and Pinole, CA; and Durham, CT (three times!). That doesn't count his adventures to Brooklyn and other excursions off 21st street. His mama has been to the Bay area three times; LA twice; Boston three times; Chicago for a day; and carried (or chased) Milo and his backpack of things-to-keep-a-two-and-a-half-year-old-occupied-while-traveling to all his destinations. Dinosaurs, crayons, New Bear and Nemo the pig, plus raisins, organic gummi bears and a clean Jimi Hendrix shirt are all vastly preferable cargo to PC, crackberry, pens that tend to explode, jacket that won't wrinkle, notebook and the US Weekly grabbed enroute to a flight.
We've visited Aunties, grandparents, great grandparents, godparents, cousins and all kinds of friends of Mama's and Papa's. We've played baseball, shot rockets, improved our frisbee toss, tasted wines, walked dogs, made waffles, even polished our toes (sorry, Papa). We've mourned the disappeared lobsters from Whole Foods; eaten edamame; learned "apparently" and "absolutely"; and can recite pirate names better than the alphabet.
And, we've changed our name. At least Mllo did. He is only responding to "Lemon Blue" these days... Should we be worried about creative new monikers for Mama and Papa?
