One stop for special birthday cupcakes. Thirty-seven curses at the Path ticketing machine that ate all my dollars, squished them up, and spit them back, completely unusable. One surreal trip through the nightlife of Hoboken, where every car, bar and ground-level apartment was blasting some kind of late-90s house music. Two warm welcomes on the steps of an absolutely gorgeous apartment. One salmon wrapped in fig leaves, one plate of yummy greens called lambs-quarters, several beautiful peonies, more candles than I could count... And, when the sumptuous evening was drawing to a close, one gallant gentleman who drove us back through a crowded tunnel, and home.

Many thanks to Amy, Jesse, and Jesse's girl Bria for such a lovely evening. Sprout was well-fed, and well-entertained, and the sustenance for his/her upcoming Big Art Adventure was much appreciated by Mama (& Papa, too).
