They are not so infrequent, these quiet moments, fortunate circumstances for a tired Mama and weary Papa. While the in-betweens are filled with chatter and little pigeon coos, and laughing, and kicking stomp-stomp-stomp on the floor, and grabbing at hair, glasses, and anything else in reach of small hands, when the Milo-munchkin pauses, he is all about cuddles. Bundled up with his grandpa, he looks out at Papa's camera for a moment, but has no intention of removing himself from this lap.

After a train trip from the Big City, a car ride with Auntie Sarah to find marshmallow peeps for his grandpa, and a long walk to visit the cows and meet the neighbors' ducks, Milo-munchkin definitely needed a bath. Vanilla and lavender are supposed to be calming, but we think it was all his swimming and kicking and playing with bubbles that got him to lay still, for just a second, with Papa's feet, and Mama's hands, and a cozy towel.
