bluenotes.31 - moving

It was supposed to just be "next door." It was supposed to be easy, with a week of overlap, friendly neighbors and shorter stairs. But moving a combined 6.5 years of life, plus an 8-month-old, in sticky-hot jungle conditions interrupted by several huge rain storms, bested Mama & Papa. Milo, however, has found a new hall he can cruise up and down in his "car," has crawled over every extra inch of the new home, and can play quietly in his Very Own Room for minutes on end.

Sleeping along in that VOR has proven slightly challenging, but we have hope. And when we can finally find the floor from all the boxes, we hope each and all of you will come visit. Now that we're here, we're not going anywhere for a good long time.

Latest curiosities when you're 8-months-old: how to walk around the couch without falling; how to get your parents to give you Cheerios; how to flirt with 10-month-old girls at the park; how to say hi and wave "bye-bye" to everyone you see; how to "gimme five" (why do I have to show that off all the time?); how to spend more time in the bath tub with eleven rubber animals, kicking and splashing, before Mama or Papa says, "it's time to get out."

Gosh, he just keeps getting better looking all the time!

Congratutlations on the move ... from someone who has moved far too many times, I know how awful that can be.

Can't wait to see the new place!

Love,
Jill and Eddie

We're still living with boxes and pictures stacked up all over. Getting things done with a little one is hard. Cela starts pre-school in September and just turned 2. We're still working on the VOR...
