bluenotes.69 - "I'm a BIG BOY!"

Captain Milo has had quite a long winter weekend. He's talked by digital video conference to his grandparents in Berkeley and his great grandparents in Florida, showed them his latest drawings and explained why he's "so busy." He's been an avid snowboarding fan, danced to They Might Be Giants with a one-year-old angel named Margot, helped with laundry, cooking and vacuuming. On an oddly warm afternoon, he ran around the park, chasing pigeons and squirrels. On an oddly cold afternoon, he sat quietly and entertained Great Aunt Barbara and "The Other Auntie Sarah" with tales of big hippopotamuses, tamarind monkeys, stegasaurus and triceratops. And, he's devoured, among other things, two totally new meals. "Toad in the Hole" may replace bagel and cream cheese or "big omelettes" or "awfulwaffles" as his favorite breakfast. And he's now had a chili-cheese-dog, by Papa.

Now, Mama's version of a chili-cheese-dog is something that is acquired sometime after midnight at a Wawa by the train tracks, goopy and drippy and laden with something that everyone knows really isn't cheese. But Milo's was organic chicken "dog" grilled with sheep cheese and topped with a steak/mushroom/radicchio concoction leftover from dinner.

Yum!
